Sintolit Straw Semi-solid is a fast-curing, two-component polyester resin-based mastic. This thixotropic formulation is ideal for bonding marble, coupling slabs, or filling (grouting) travertine, granite, and natural stones. Thanks to its smooth spreadability, it penetrates deeply, ensuring an extremely strong bond within minutes. It is perfect for sealing joints and performing invisible restorations, both for professional use and DIY projects. The straw shade can be customised using powder oxides or colouring pastes to achieve a chromatic finish that perfectly matches the original material.

How to Bond Marble with Sintolit: Instructions for Use

To achieve a perfect structural bond, follow these steps:

• Preparation: Ensure that the surfaces are perfectly clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. The use of protective gloves is recommended.

• Mixing: Remove only the required amount of mastic from the tin. Add the paste hardener (catalyst) in a ratio of 2-3% and mix vigorously with a spatula.

• Application: Spread the mixture by pressing firmly onto the parts to be joined or into the cracks. Thanks to its consistency, the mastic does not sag and adheres immediately.

• Drying: Wait approximately 7-8 minutes for surface drying. Curing is confirmed if no fingerprint remains when touching the filler. Note: Drying speed may vary depending on the ambient temperature.

• Finishing: Once cured, the material can be sanded, honed, and polished using standard marble abrasives.

• Cleaning: Tools can be cleaned using ethyl alcohol, pure acetone, or cellulose thinner.

• Thixotropic Index: 6.52
