Edge polishers

Edge polishers Edge polishers are abrasives used for marble, employed with automatic or single-head machines for the polishing of the flat edge of marble, stone, granite, and other materials like quartz. The abrasive wheels 'Abra Iride' for edge polishers come in various grits for calibration, smoothing, and polishing, removing any imperfections or roughness from the surface, achieving a smooth, even, and glossy finish. Edge polishers is constructed on a plastic base, designed in a spiral shape to be applied to automatic machinery. The abrasive part can be made from different materials, including Magnesite, Silicon Carbide, and Synthetic materials. The choice of abrasive used in edge polishers depends on the type of material to be polished and the desired level of finish. The process of working on the flat edge consists of several stages. It begins with a coarser grit to calibrate and rough the surface, followed by the levigation phase that eliminates deeper scratches and imperfections, preparing the surface for the final polishing. The abrasive wheel is moved along the surface to be smoothed uniformly, adjusting the pressure of the spindles. Medium Polishing: This phase is carried out using an abrasive disk with a medium grit. The abrasive disk is moved along the surface to be polished uniformly, applying slightly more pressure compared to the previous phase. Fine Polishing: This phase is done using an abrasive disk with a fine grit. The abrasive disk is moved along the surface to be polished uniformly, applying light pressure, and then using polishing wheels like the 'Edge polishers 5 extra' to polish the marble. Here are some tips for correctly performing the edge polishing with flat edge abrasives like edge polishers: Use a edge polisher machine in good condition. Adjust the advancement of the conveyor belt and synchronize the pressures of the spindles according to the material being worked on.
