Marble antiquing is a finishing technique that imparts an aged and weathered appearance to marble. It is achieved through chemical sandblasting, in which the chemical antiquing agent unevenly removes a thin surface layer, creating a slightly rough finish reminiscent of irregular orange peel texture. With marble and stone antiquing, you can bestow an antique look upon various types of marble and limestone, including Carrara marble, Botticino marble, Trani stone, Apicena stone, Red Verona, Biancone, Travertine, Crema Marfil, Red Alicante, and many others. This marble antiquing process not only lends a lived-in and slip-resistant appearance to the surface but also helps conceal minor scratches and surface imperfections. This finish is particularly suitable for indoor and outdoor flooring, as well as for crafting kitchen countertops.
